July 23rd WOD

No Shortcuts...

Looking forward, one short week away, I will be climbing the rugged Cassiar Mountains of Northern British Columbia filming my good friend Bryan Martin during his pursuit of Stone Sheep.

Thirteen days trekking rough terrain with a 60# backpack strapped tight to my back. That is tough...

There are no shortcuts to take you to the tops of those mountains. You must be strong in both the mind and body.

Today I trained with my little dog Zoie, for tomorrow's journey to one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The workout started off a little slow with Zoie needing to sniff around and do little dog business along the way. We had a great training hike!

~~~WOD~~~
4.5 Mile Hike, 1000 vertical feet elevation gain and loss with a 53.5# pack on my back.
