Proud of Who You Are...

Last night I had dinner with a group of girlfriends from high school. We have all been friends for half of our lives and have seen each other grow from girls into women.

I find that, we are typically our own worst critic, being hard on ourselves when we should be proud.

Each one of us women sitting at the table could probably name of at least three things that we would like to change in our lives, in our appearance or otherwise. Each of us having taken very different paths in life.

We all came to realize together that each one of us is uniquely beautiful and amazing in our own way. Each one of us possessing individual qualities that we admired.

To me this served as a good reminder that instead of being your own worst critic this week, try and be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished, the bumpy road that led you to today. No one is perfect, we all face our own set of challenges, life taking twists and turns that we did not anticipate. Love all of those things about yourself, be proud of YOU.

You just never know who might be looking up to you thinking "I wish I was more like her..."
