Cabela's National Sales Meeting

The 2013 Cabela’s National Sales Meeting was a great opportunity for me to share with every single representative from each store how the new women’s footwear offering performed through my grueling 2012 hunting season. Plus it was an opportunity for me to check out all of the latest and greatest from Cabela’s in the 2013 year.

Boots are one of the most important components of successful backcountry hunting. I don’t put on a pair of boots without taking into consideration weather I am going out for a day hunt or extended stay backpacking, the temperature and weather conditions and the terrain I am trekking through.

Fortunately, Cabela’s has a boot for every situation staying ahead of the competition with cutting edge technology and performance that is second to none.

Pinnacle BOA

The Cabela’s women’s Pinnacle BOA boots have now become my go to boot on the hunt and around the farm. The quick BOA tightening system makes putting the boots on and off a breeze. The height keeps my feet dry and warm in the most adverse conditions. This tough boot stands up to ice and snow in below freezing temperatures.  At home they have become the boot that I put on when there is snow; running errands, feeding the mules, anything!  All day comfort in any condition.

BOA Shorty

There is nothing easier and more comfortable to put on and off than the Cabela’s BOA Speed Hunters. This is my lightweight go to boot for day hiking, 3-D archery courses and early season hunts with the bonus of all weather protection. On a hot day, these boots are easy to pop open, take off and relax in the blind or stand.

Denali- My 2013 FAVORITE BOOT ON EARTH!!!

At first glance, I loved the overall look and feel of the Meindl boots and in the backcountry they not only met but exceed my performance expectations. This mountaineering boot gave ample ankle support and stability while being rigid enough for packing the heaviest of loads in steep terrain, rock slides and glaciers. The GORE-Tex lining kept my feet dry through rainstorms and shallow creek crossings. Out of the box comfort and perfect fit without blisters.

Lady Hunter

When the weather starts to cool off, I look to the Lady Hunter by Mendle. The 200-gram Thinsulate insulation keep my feet comfy warm and dry. Offering me ankle support when I need it most, these boots are tough while being light, never weighing you down.

Pinnacle Snake Boot

This boot is super waterproof, but more importantly, it is SNAKE proof. This super comfortable, zip on and off boot lets me walk with comfort and confidence in the most snake infested areas of Oregon. Rattle snakes have nothing on me!!!
